My name is Terry Knebel I have been a stylist and barbar for over 10 years. I have been blessed because I have always enjoyed what I do for a living and get to call my profession a career. I do not believe there is a type of head or hair I have not worked on.
I think the best way I can explain my approach on hairstyling is this ” To make a client love their hair!” So when I first meet a client I determine face shape and run my hands through their hair. Feeling the hair you can determine fine, thick, wavy, curly, etc. Some have lots of hair but the hair itself is fine. I like to check neckline to determine growth patterns. Talking about what they want with their hair, problems they have with it. Then we can talk about what we can do and maybe what their hair will not do. Ultimately my goal is to head you in the direction that you want with the hair you have and what I have to work with. So that you look great!
I’m very good with very fine hair. But I made a living for years cutting and styling very long hair.
My wife Cindy and I have always been able to work off of each other. She does my work ( which I am not allowed to advise on) and all my permanent wave clients.
My name is Cindy Knebel. I have been a cosmetologist for many years. Working my first 10 years near home. I worked on friends, children and lots of family. When my 2 kids went to school I went to work for my husband.
People, friends and clients were “O that will never work!” Well it did! I have great respect for my husbands ability. I started in his salon doing permanent waves and color. I have worked hard on my cutting skills and have to say my husband has taught me a lot. He taught me that when you start a cut you have to know where your kind. BOOM lightbulb. We cut by feel, there are some styles you have to section and make a map. So I guess I can say he tought me to feel my way through their hair to get where I needed to go. We have spent a lot of weekends in classes and have always worked at staying current. Working at a college kept us “in style”. I will say I enjoy cutting but also collaboration with Terry has always being a big part of what we do.
